Teen Sewing Weekend Workshop Ages 13-17

Welcome to our Introductory Sewing Weekend Workshop for teens! This is a 2-part weekend course designed to introduce teens to the art of sewing. During this immersive weekend , our young students will learn to master the basics of sewing and come away with a project they can be proud to have completed on their own. All materials are included: sewing machine rental, fabric and learning materials. This class has a minimum age requirement of 13 years old. Students 18+ can take Beginner Sewing and beyond. Please email us to inquire about 12 and under. Skills taught: - sewing machine threading and safe operation - sewing straight lines, corners curves, straps, lining and pockets - balancing tension, setting stitch length Sewing Level: Beginners with little to no experience welcome With step-by-step guidance from your teacher and a small class size of 6, students will gain confidence in their sewing abilities and come away with a useful tote bag project they can be proud to have made by themselves. ***This class runs two Sundays in a row from 2:00pm-5:00pm*** Class 1: Sunday August 15th 2026 Class 2: Sunday August 22nd 2026 Total hours: 2 x 3hrs = 6 hours of instruction Students are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. All notions can be purchased from the Sewing Machine Sales & Repair Centre with a 15% student discount with proof of class purchase. NO MAKEUP CLASSES ARE GIVEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A CLASS! Classes are non-cancellable and non-refundable if missed. Classes are however transferrable so if you can't make it, you can transfer your spot to someone else.
