Hemming Masterclass - 2-Part Workshop

Welcome to our Hemming Masterclass! This two-part workshop is tailored for home sewers who want to learn to master the art of hemming. Hemming is probably one of the most useful and requested sewing skills you can have. During this workshop you will learn how to properly hem different garments in different styles. ***Workshop runs for 2 days on Saturday May 31st and June 7th from 2:00pm - 4:30pm*** Class 1: Hand hemming, machine hemming for skirts, pants and sleeves Class 2: Hemming Jeans including regular hem and Euro hem Students can bring a pair of dress pants or skirt for class 1 and Jeans for class 2 to work on. We will provide sample fabric for training and practice. Sewing machine is provided or bring your own machine! NO MAKEUP CLASSES ARE GIVEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A CLASS! Students are required to bring in some items of clothing to be hemmed. A Sewing Machine is required. A list of suggested notions will be emailed to you after registration (scissors, marking pens, etc). Students can purchase required notions (scissors, thread, rulers, marking pens etc) from the Sewing Machine Sales & Repair Centre store with a 15% student discount. The classroom is located upstairs above the Sewing Machine Sales & Repair Centre. Please note The Sewing School is accessible by stairs only. Starting date of class is dependent upon required number of students (6). Should minimum student enrollment not be met, class dates may be changed and students will be informed ahead of time.
