Intro To Quilting Workshop

Service Description

Learn all the main elements of making a quilt in this single-session workshop! Quilting expert Johanna Masko will lead you through making a beautiful placemat- a compact project with all the same components as larger quilts. We will start with a simple patchwork design, assemble and stitch the “quilt sandwich” together, and complete our placemat with a speedy edge finishing technique. This workshop is suitable for beginners who have completed an introductory machine sewing class. Our project will be entirely sewn by machine. Our finished placemat measures approximately 12 x 18” Material Requirements: All materials for the placemat are included in the workshop fee. Feel free to bring your own fabric scissors, snips, pins, and a pencil. A limited amount of loaner tools will be on hand to borrow. Sewing machines with walking feet will be provided.
