Beginner sewing class to learn the ins and outs of your own sewing machine
Service Description
You love sewing—but your sewing machine feels intimidating. Maybe you’ve recently purchased or been gifted a machine and have no idea where to start. Maybe you’ve tried learning on YouTube, only to feel more confused than before. Or maybe you’ve had a machine for years and just want someone to actually show you how to use it properly. If any of this sounds familiar, this class is for you. During this 2.5 hour workshop, our sewists will work with sewing expert Francois Ouellette and learn how to use their sewing machine. Students will get personalized guidance about their specific machine and cover all the bases. This is your chance to finally understand, feel confident with, and truly master your sewing machine. You'll learn to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, select stitches, set stitch length and width, balance tension and more. By the end of this workshop you'll be sewing on your machine with confidence! Join us to get your sewing journey started with expert instruction and a small class size! Bookings are non-refundable so please make sure you're available prior to booking! Bookings can be transferred to another person before class start date. The classroom is located upstairs above the Sewing Machine Sales & Repair Centre. Please note The Sewing School is accessible by stairs only. Starting date of class is dependent upon required number of students (6). Should minimum student enrollment not be met, class dates may be changed and students will be informed ahead of time. Cancellations will not be accepted within 10 days of class starting date. NO MAKEUP CLASSES ARE GIVEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A CLASS! Thank you and Happy Sewing!
