Teen Sewing Weekend Workshop Ages 13-16

Welcome to our Introductory Sewing Weekend Workshop for teens! This is a 2-part weekend course designed to introduce teenagers aged 13-16 to the art of sewing. During this weekend immersive, teenagers will learn to master the basics of sewing and come away with a project they can be proud to have completed on their own. All materials are included, including sewing machine, fabric and learning materials. Skills students will learn: - sewing machine basics - safe operation - sewing straight lines and corners - sewing curves and tricky shapes - balancing tension and sewing special effects like gathers Sewing Level: Sewing beginners with little to no experience are welcome! With step-by-step guidance from your teacher and a small class size of 6, students will gain confidence in their sewing abilities and come away with a useful project they can be proud to have made by themselves. ***This class runs for one consecutive weekend Saturday August 2nd & Sunday August 3rd from 11am - 2pm *** Class 1: Saturday August 2nd 11am - 2pm Class 2: Sunday August 3rd 11am - 2pm Total hours: 2 x 3hrs = 6 hours of instruction Students are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. All notions can be purchased from the Sewing Machine Sales & Repair Centre with a 15% student discount with proof of class purchase. NO MAKEUP CLASSES ARE GIVEN SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A CLASS! Classes are non-cancellable and non-refundable if missed. Classes are however transferrable so if you can't make it, you can transfer your spot to someone else.
